BOB's Underwater Adventure

One of the most fun, most unique Things to do in Hawaii offered by Hawaii Activities Discount  is Oahu Breathing Observation Bubbles, or BOB for short.  Ride an underwater scooter while your head is in a clear acrylic bubble, allowing unprecedented views of the Hawaii undersea environment.

Guests will be ushered into the briefing room/souvenir shop upon arrival at the Koko Marina Shopping Center.  Guests will be briefed on breathing and safety instructions and the BOB equipment for 30 minutes.   Complimentary hot tea and coffee are available.  There is one small changing room.

After the first briefing, you will board on a shuttle vessel and sail out to Maunalua Bay where you will receive a final briefing and familiarization of the BOB equipment and diving procedures before any dives are initiated.  A master diver will accompany every 3 people on these Oahu activities. After the BOB adventure, you can snorkel or swim in the beautiful Maunalua Bay.

BOB is a personal underwater scooter where you sit on a seat with your head inside a clear acrylic bubble which is filled with air from a storage tank.  Oahu Breathing Observation Bubbles (BOB) provide a more comfortable underwater experience than breathing through a regulator. The BOB is powered with a 35 lbs electric motor which provides a top speed of about 2.5 knots.  The novices can master the controls in the training course which can be completed in just a few minutes.
