Founder and resident master instructor Tim Sherer has personally taught more than 30,000 beginner surfing students on Maui.  If you are interested in learning to surf from one of the best, Tim’s reputation in the field is virtually unparalleled.  A formal education and a relationship with the ocean have been ongoing parts of his life since childhood.  His enthusiasm and joy for both have earned him a university degree and resume rich with surfing experiences around the world. 

His approach to teaching is very patient, positive and adaptable towards the needs of each student. He possesses a wealth of knowledge and coaching ability to offer each individual.  The goals and concerns of our students, safety, fun and learning are our primary priorities! 

Tim holds certifications from the Maui Red Cross in CPR, First Aid and Lifeguard Training.
