Myths of Maui Luau at Royal Lahaina Resort

Experience an unforgettable evening of Hawaiian food, music and Polynesian culture at the Royal Lahaina Luau, beautifully set along Ka'anapali Beach. With sweeping ocean views and colorful Maui sunsets as the backdrop, this family-friendly luau brings together traditional island customs, a generous buffet, tropical drinks and an exciting live show.

Your evening begins with a warm shell lei greeting and time to relax with a mai tai or exotic cocktail from the open bar. As the sun sets over the ocean, witness the traditional imu ceremony and the unearthing of the kalua pua'a, which has been slow-roasted in an underground oven.

After the ceremony, enjoy an all-you-care-to-eat buffet featuring kalua pork, teriyaki chicken, island fish and a variety of Hawaiian favorites. A special kid-friendly menu offers familiar options for younger guests.

Following dinner, the stage comes alive with the music, stories and dances of Hawaii, Samoa, Tahiti and New Zealand. Feel the rhythm of Polynesian drums, watch graceful hula performances and enjoy vibrant costumes and traditional choreography. The evening concludes with a thrilling Samoan fire-knife finale featuring multiple dancers, swirling flames and flaming poi balls.

General Luau: Aloha shell lei greeting, dinner, open bar & luau show. Tables are pre-assigned by date of booking. Tables are ohana (family) style and can seat more than one family per table (up to 12 guests per table).

VIP Luau:  Reserved seating area, flower lei for ladies and kukui nut lei for gentlemen, first set of tables to begin dinner service, complimentary premium drinks. Tables are first four rows closest to the stage and forward facing.
