Ulalena Maui Theatre
ULALENA is an artistic tribute to Hawaii's unique cultures and traditions. This 9.5 million dollar production is singular in Hawaii and perhaps the world. The 75 minute show features over twenty professional performers from Hawaii. Ulalena is an amazing theatrical experience created especially for the Maui Theatre.

There is a wind unique to Maui that rises at twilight. This wind whispers of other times & places, both mythic and real. It blows between day & night, between times & worlds. It is cleansing & hopeful. The ancient Hawaiian name for this wind is “'Ulalena.” Ulalena is also the name of the newest and most spectacular stage production to come from Hawaii in decades.
Each seat maintains a sense of intimacy and interaction with the performance. Traditional Butoh theatre is combined with acrobatic feats of beauty and strength. Hula is blended with modern dance. Rich costumes, stage design and lighting are woven together into a filagree of fantastic images drawn from Hawaiian history and legend. The viewer is pulled out of time and into a place of wonder, experiencing with awe the spirit-filled landscape of the imagination of the ancient Hawaiian story tellers.

Born from a mythology populated by beings larger than life representing a natural landscape alive with oceans, volcanoes, and primeval rain forests, the story begins with the mythic creation of the islands and rolls through successive waves of voyagers who have found their way to these shores. Premium Seating - The Premium Seating Package provides select seats throughout the center of the Maui Theatre for a premium view of the stage.

Ruth's Chris Dinner Package - VIP Seating and after show experience with Ulalena cast and crew. Three course dinner menu, choice of 1 selection house wine, draft beer or soft drink. Tax and gratuity included. Child's menu available. Vegetarian menu available upon advance request. Additional food or beverages other than what is listed on the menus are at the expense of the guest ordering.
Lahaina Grill Dinner Package - The Lahaina Grill Dinner Package includes VIP Seating and after show experience with the Ulalena cast and crew. The 8:30pm dinner at the Lahaina Grill includes a 3 course menu with a choice of one selection draft beer, house wine, soft drink or tea. Includes Tip, tax and gratuity.
