There is no experience needed to take Surfing Lessons on the Big Island.  However, you do need to know how to swim to enjoy Big Island Surfing Instructions.  We absolutely love helping beginners learn Big Island Surfing.  Our group Surfing Lessons on the Big Island are limited to a max of four people, meaning that you’ll get plenty of one on one time with your instructor.  We also offer Semi-Private Big Island Surfing Instructions that require no experience, but you do need to know how to swim to participate in them.  These Hawaii Activities are available for beginner surfers who would like to receive personalized instructions for them and a friend or family member.  These types of lessons are highly recommended for those 12 years old and younger and/or weighing 75 lbs or less.  The Semi-Private big Island Surfing lessons are kept to a two student per instructor ratio.  All Surfing Lessons on the Big Island last for two hours.
