Camelot Sportfishing
The Kona coast offers the word's best deep sea fishing. Fish for big game species such as the pacific blue marlin, ono (wahoo), spearfish, mahi mahi (dorado, dolphin), ahi (yellow fin tuna), striped marlin and more. The professional crew onboard Camelot is well known for their ability to attract BIG fish and are very successful in doing so. The Camelot has caught more big game trophy fish than any other captain and crew in the Kailua Kona based Honokohau Harbor. The crew will provide you with all the fishing gear you will need to have a great time.
The 8-Hour "Exclusive Charter" is the best way to maximize your angling potential and go hunt out the big ones. On this 8 hour charter, you may elect to spend half the day snorkeling at Captain Cook Kealakekua Bay, known as "the best snorkeling in the state." During whale season (December - April) there is a very good chance of seeing whales, and on exclusive charters, you may do some whale watching on your trip.
We also offer "share boats." This means that instead of getting the boat to yourself, you share the boat with up to 5 other people for four hours. At the end of the trip, we will fillet and share the fish we have caught with everyone, so you won't leave empty-handed! This is a great way to save money and make new friends.
Captains Robert and Cyndee Hudson are winners of countless sport fishing tournaments. In 2003, their charter fishing boat was the first one in Kona to bring in a real grander - a billfish weighing 1,041 lbs. Don't just talk about the one that got away -- take your trophy home with you.
