Kohala Wai, A PinzTrek Off-Road Exclusive Hawaii Forest and Trail
**HAWAII FOREST AND TRAIL IS NO LONGER OPERATING THIS TOUR. IT HAS BEEN INCORPORATED INTO THE KOHALA COUNTRY FALLS ADVENTURE**
Explore the remote Pololu Valley on the Big Island's northern tip aboard our rugged off-road Pinzgauer vehicles. Witness the life-giving and land-sculpting power of water, as we ramble through a changing landscape of towering ocean cliffs, rushing streams, and cascading waterfalls. See how people throughout history have lived off the power of water, from the terraced taro lo’i of Hawaiians to the fast moving irrigation ditches of Kohala sugar plantations. We will even kick off our shoes and take a dip in a cool mountain pool!
Short walk under 2 miles. 2 to 2 .5 hours of off road 6 wheel driving.
Please wear closed-toe walking shoes or reef walkers or sports sandals, swimsuit under shorts, towel, sunscreen, a hat, and a light sweatshirt or jacket. Must be able to walk over uneven muddy terrain and short climbs. Not recommended for those with back or neck problems. Includes: Raingear, Snacks, and Drinks including Bottled Water.
