Four Wheel Drive and Hiking Adventure

Discover the magnificent island of Kauai on this combination four wheel drive tour with an approximate 3 mile hike to the center of the island.  With its many picturesque vistas, this is one Kauai sightseeing tour you will never forget.  

Leave from either Kilohana Plantation or the Coconut Marketplace (your choice) and depart in our air-conditioned four by four van. We will head into the heart of Kauai, passing Opaekaa Falls and the Wailua Reservoir on our journey from Wailua to the Keahua Arboretum.  Then, prepare yourself for a bumpy ride as we delve further into the Kauai interior.  The trail leads through dense forests and across streams.

Once we reach our destination (the “Gate”, used in Jurassic Park), we will park and begin hiking.  Enjoy a relaxing half hour stroll through wild flowers and striking views to the source, where water is diverted into the Lihue Plantation irrigation system. While the guests explore and enjoy the breathtaking natural beauty, experienced guides teach guests about the history and culture of Hawaii.

We may see a little rain, and the rainbows that accompany.  Ponchos, umbrellas and walking sticks are provided, along with backpacks, drinks and snacks.
